Givingof talent, time, and moneycan sometimes hurt. It often includes
sacrifice.
An individual who gives something may have to forego a personal pleasure, such
as buying a new computer system or season tickets to a favorite sporting event.
A family may have to pass up two extra days of vacation. The flip side is that
giving has tremendous rewards. These rewards become evident in a variety of
dimensionsemotional, relational, financial, and spiritual.
Through a practical approach and an engaging story line, Ken Blanchard and
S. Truett Cathy guide you on a journey to discover the joys of giving—and the
impact that the “generosity factor” can have on your life!
One morning a financially successful young broker with a good future reads
an article in his favorite business publication that captures his attention.
It appears that a very successful businessman claims that his greatest joy is
giving away his money as well as his time! The broker is intriguedbut confused.
Why would someone who has worked hard to achieve financial success and security
give it away to others? Was there something this powerful executive knew that
the broker didn’t understand? Was there some significance or meaning in the
act of giving that the broker could not see?
A phone call to the executive and a trip to his business marked the beginning
of a weekand a lifetimeof learning, meaning, and giving for the
young broker.
From its forthright story line and simple strategy of creating life-long significance
through giving of one’s self, The Generosity FactorTM delivers a powerful
message that could change your life.
